Cycling Africa's Southwesternmost Tip
Cycling inside the Cape of Good Hope Reserve is one of the most exhilarating active travel experiences in Southern Africa. Smooth, low-traffic asphalt roads wind through 7,750 hectares of coastal mountain fynbos, leading directly to the Cape of Good Hope sign marker and Cape Point lighthouse cliffs.
Guided e-bike and road cycle tours typically transport bikes by vehicle to the main SANParks gate, allowing guests to enjoy 25–40 km of scenic pedaling without fighting urban traffic. Be prepared for strong coastal winds—especially the summer South-Easters—and keep a watchful eye for baboons and ostriches near the roadside!
